Crossdim Corp.

North York, Ontario M3B 3N1
Canada

We have designated a Privacy Officer to oversee our privacy practices and respond to privacy questions, requests, and complaints.

You may contact our Privacy Officer at:

Email: policy@propertysearchgpt.ai
Telephone: 416-821-4100

2. What Is Personal Information?

“Personal information” generally means information about an identifiable individual. Depending on the circumstances, this may include information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • account information;
  • IP address;
  • device information;
  • search activity;
  • location information;
  • payment and transaction information;
  • property interests;
  • communications;
  • government-issued identification information; and
  • photographs or other information that identifies you.

Some personal information may be considered particularly sensitive because of the potential consequences if it is misused. For example, government-issued identification documents, financial information, and biometric information used for identity verification may be sensitive personal information. We apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

3. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with PropertySearchGPT and which features you use.

3.1 Account and Contact Information

When you create or maintain an account, contact us, or use certain Services, we may collect:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • username;
  • password or authentication credentials;
  • account preferences;
  • communication preferences;
  • account status; and
  • information used to verify or secure your account.

Passwords may be processed in hashed, encrypted, or otherwise protected form rather than stored as readable passwords.

3.2 Property Search and Preference Information

When you search for properties or interact with our real-estate tools, we may collect information such as:

  • locations you search;
  • preferred neighbourhoods;
  • geographic search boundaries;
  • property type;
  • price range;
  • desired property features;
  • bedroom and bathroom preferences;
  • commute preferences;
  • investment criteria;
  • saved properties;
  • favourited listings;
  • search history;
  • comparison history;
  • map interactions;
  • property alerts;
  • property-related preferences; and
  • other criteria you provide.

Some of this information may be used to personalize search results and recommendations.

3.3 AI Queries, Prompts and Inputs

When you use our AI-powered features, we may collect and process:

  • questions you ask;
  • chat prompts;
  • search instructions;
  • property descriptions;
  • financial assumptions;
  • valuation inputs;
  • renovation instructions;
  • images you choose to upload;
  • documents or other materials you choose to provide;
  • AI-generated results; and
  • interactions with AI-generated content.

Please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information through general-purpose AI prompts. Government-issued identification, payment-card credentials, passwords, and similar highly sensitive information should not be entered into general PropertySearchGPT AI chat fields.

3.4 Seller and Landlord Listing Information

If you submit a property for sale or lease, we may collect:

  • your name and contact information;
  • your relationship to the property;
  • property address;
  • listing price or rental amount;
  • property descriptions;
  • property characteristics;
  • photographs;
  • videos;
  • floorplans;
  • availability information;
  • listing instructions;
  • ownership or authority-related information where reasonably required;
  • communications concerning the listing; and
  • other information you provide in connection with the property.

Information you intentionally include in a published property listing may become publicly available through the Services. You should not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in publicly visible listing content.

4. Identity Verification for Sellers and Landlords

PropertySearchGPT may require individuals seeking to publish certain properties for sale or lease to complete identity verification.

We use Stripe Identity, provided by Stripe, for identity-verification services. Identity verification is intended to:

  • reduce fraudulent property listings;
  • prevent impersonation;
  • confirm the identity of individuals seeking to publish certain listings;
  • protect users and the integrity of the Platform;
  • prevent misuse of the Services; and
  • assist with fraud and security investigations.

Identity verification does not, by itself, establish that a person owns a property or has legal authority to sell or lease that property.

4.1 Information Used for Identity Verification

Depending on the verification process, you may be asked to provide:

  • a government-issued photo identification document, such as a driver’s licence or passport;
  • photographs of your identification document;
  • your legal name;
  • date of birth;
  • identification-document type;
  • identification-document number;
  • document expiry information;
  • issuing jurisdiction;
  • a photograph or selfie;
  • device information;
  • IP address;
  • information concerning the verification session;
  • fraud and security signals; and
  • other information reasonably necessary to confirm identity.

This information is sensitive and is handled accordingly.

5. Selfie and Biometric Identity Verification

When selfie verification is used, Stripe may use facial-recognition technology to create biometric identifiers from your selfie and the photograph appearing on your government-issued identification document. Stripe uses these identifiers to determine whether the individual completing the selfie verification appears to be the same person depicted on the identification document.

PropertySearchGPT does not receive the biometric identifiers Stripe creates for the facial comparison. Depending on our configuration and permissions, PropertySearchGPT may receive or have access to information such as:

  • verification status;
  • verification results;
  • reasons a verification could not be completed;
  • information extracted from an identification document;
  • government-issued identification information;
  • identification-document images; and
  • images submitted during the verification process.

Access to this information will be limited to authorized personnel where reasonably necessary for identity verification, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or responding to an individual’s privacy request.

5.1 Express Consent for Biometric Verification

Biometric information is sensitive personal information. Where selfie or biometric verification is used, Stripe and/or PropertySearchGPT will present relevant notices and request consent as part of the identity-verification process where required.

Your acceptance of PropertySearchGPT’s general Terms of Use or EULA is not intended to substitute for an express biometric consent where one is required. You should review the Stripe Identity notices presented to you before completing the verification.

5.2 Alternative to Biometric Verification

If you do not wish to complete selfie-based biometric verification, contact us before submitting your listing at: policy@propertysearchgpt.ai

Where required by applicable law, we will make an appropriate non-biometric identity-verification process available. An alternative process may involve manual review of identification or other reasonable evidence of identity and may take longer than automated verification.

Declining biometric verification does not automatically prevent you from using all PropertySearchGPT Services, although we may require successful identity verification through an acceptable alternative method before allowing certain property listings to be published.

5.3 Stripe and PropertySearchGPT Roles

We use Stripe for risk and identity-verification services. We share or permit the collection of personally identifying information through Stripe Identity so that Stripe can provide identity-verification, fraud-prevention, risk, and related services.

For purposes of certain personal information processed through Stripe Identity, PropertySearchGPT and Stripe may each act as independent controllers or organizations responsible for personal information, while Stripe may also process certain information as a service provider on our behalf.

Stripe may process information for its own permitted purposes, including:

  • operating Stripe Identity;
  • verifying identity;
  • preventing fraud;
  • improving security;
  • complying with legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • other purposes described in Stripe’s applicable privacy notices and terms.

Stripe’s Privacy Policy is available at: https://stripe.com/privacy

Stripe may also present its own privacy and consent notices directly to you during the identity-verification process.

5.4 No Housing-Eligibility Use

PropertySearchGPT uses Stripe Identity to verify the identity of individuals seeking to list property and to prevent fraud or misuse. We do not use Stripe Identity information as a factor in deciding whether an individual is eligible to:

  • rent a property;
  • purchase a property;
  • obtain housing;
  • receive a mortgage;
  • receive credit;
  • obtain insurance; or
  • obtain employment.

We do not use Stripe Identity as a tenant-screening service.

6. Payment and Transaction Information

PropertySearchGPT may charge for certain Services, including subscriptions, property listings, professional products, advertising, or other paid features. We use third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process certain payments.

Depending on the transaction, information processed may include:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • billing information;
  • transaction amount;
  • currency;
  • products or services purchased;
  • subscription information;
  • transaction identifiers;
  • payment status;
  • refund information;
  • dispute or chargeback information;
  • payment-method type;
  • limited card information, such as card brand or last four digits where provided to us;
  • IP address;
  • device or fraud-prevention information; and
  • other information necessary to complete and administer a payment.

Complete payment-card credentials submitted through Stripe are generally processed directly by Stripe rather than stored directly by PropertySearchGPT.

Stripe may independently process transaction and related information for purposes including payment processing, security, authentication, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and operation of its services.

7. Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Services, we may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • operating system;
  • device type;
  • device or application identifiers;
  • language;
  • referring webpage;
  • pages viewed;
  • features used;
  • search activity;
  • dates and times of access;
  • session information;
  • application performance;
  • error information;
  • crash information; and
  • other diagnostic or usage data.

We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Services.

8. Location Information

Certain PropertySearchGPT features may use location information. Depending on the feature and device settings, location information may include:

  • approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • map locations selected by you;
  • neighbourhoods or addresses you search; and
  • precise device location where you expressly permit the application to access it.

Where device permission is required, you may change location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may prevent certain location-dependent features from functioning properly.

9. Information We Receive From Third Parties

We may receive personal information from third parties where necessary to provide the Services or where permitted by law. These sources may include:

  • Stripe, for payments and identity-verification results;
  • authentication or login providers;
  • real-estate professionals;
  • brokerages;
  • mortgage or financial-service partners;
  • real-estate boards and associations;
  • MLS® or VOW data providers;
  • mapping providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • marketing platforms;
  • service providers;
  • business partners;
  • fraud-prevention providers; and
  • publicly available sources where collection is permitted by law.

If you use a third-party account to sign in to PropertySearchGPT, we may receive account information authorized by you and the third-party provider, such as your name, email address, profile identifier, or profile image.

We do not intentionally request unrelated social-network information such as friend lists, social-media likes, or check-in histories unless a future feature specifically requires it and appropriate disclosure and consent are provided.

10. How We Use Personal Information

  • improve usability;
  • develop new features;
  • measure service performance; and
  • perform internal analytics.

Where reasonably possible, we may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics and development purposes.

Legal and Business Purposes

We may use information to:

  • comply with applicable laws;
  • comply with valid legal processes;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal rights;
  • enforce agreements;
  • investigate fraud or misconduct;
  • protect users;
  • maintain business and tax records; and
  • manage legitimate corporate transactions.

11. Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party AI Providers

PropertySearchGPT uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies to provide features such as:

  • natural-language property search;
  • property analysis;
  • recommendations;
  • property comparisons;
  • investment analysis;
  • property valuation assistance;
  • neighbourhood insights;
  • renovation concepts;
  • image generation;
  • conversational assistance; and
  • other AI-enabled functionality.

To provide these features, information you submit may be transmitted to third-party AI or technology providers. This may include:

  • prompts;
  • search queries;
  • property details;
  • uploaded images;
  • requested analyses;
  • financial assumptions; and
  • information reasonably necessary to generate the requested output.

We seek to limit information provided to AI service providers to what is reasonably required for the applicable functionality. We do not intentionally transmit government-issued identity documents, Stripe Identity biometric identifiers, complete payment-card credentials, or account passwords to general-purpose AI models for ordinary PropertySearchGPT AI functionality.

Third-party AI providers may process information outside Canada. We assess service-provider privacy and security practices and use contractual or other protections where appropriate. Where reasonably available and appropriate, we seek configurations and contractual arrangements that limit use of PropertySearchGPT customer information for unrelated model training or other unrelated purposes.

12. Real-Estate Professionals, Brokerages and Service Providers

PropertySearchGPT may allow you to request assistance from:

  • real-estate agents;
  • brokerages;
  • mortgage professionals;
  • lawyers;
  • inspectors;
  • contractors;
  • photographers; and
  • other service providers.

When you affirmatively request a connection, showing, financing assistance, professional service, or similar service, we may provide the relevant professional with information reasonably necessary to respond to your request. Depending on the request, this may include:

  • your name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • property of interest;
  • location;
  • property preferences;
  • type of assistance requested;
  • requested appointment information; and
  • relevant communications or other information you provide.

PropertySearchGPT may receive referral compensation, subscription fees, advertising fees, or other commercial compensation from certain participating professionals or businesses where permitted by applicable law. The existence of a commercial arrangement does not authorize a professional to use your personal information for unrelated purposes. Professionals receiving information may be independent organizations with their own privacy obligations and privacy policies.

13. Mortgage and Financial-Service Referrals

If you request mortgage assistance, financing assistance, pre-approval information, or a connection to a mortgage professional, we may disclose information reasonably necessary to respond to that request to a participating mortgage or financial-services professional.

We will not intentionally disclose detailed financial information to a mortgage provider merely because you use PropertySearchGPT’s general property-search functionality.

Where additional information is required for mortgage qualification or financial services, the mortgage or financial-services provider may collect that information directly from you under its own privacy practices.

14. Service Providers and Other Third Parties

We use third-party providers to operate and support PropertySearchGPT. These may include:

  • Stripe for payments and identity verification;
  • cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • database and storage providers;
  • artificial-intelligence providers;
  • mapping providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • authentication providers;
  • cybersecurity and fraud-prevention providers;
  • communications, email, and SMS providers;
  • error-monitoring and performance providers;
  • accounting providers;
  • real-estate data providers;
  • real-estate boards and associations; and
  • other professional or technology service providers.

Some service providers process information on our behalf. Other providers, including Stripe in certain contexts, may also process information for their own permitted purposes and under their own legal responsibilities. We use contractual or other appropriate measures designed to require service providers processing personal information on our behalf to provide an appropriate level of protection.

15. We Do Not Sell Personal Information as a Data Product

PropertySearchGPT does not sell or rent personal information to data brokers or third parties as a standalone data product. We may disclose personal information in connection with:

  • a service you request;
  • an agent or mortgage referral you request;
  • payment processing;
  • identity verification;
  • Platform operation;
  • advertising or analytics activities described in this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy;
  • legal requirements; or
  • a corporate transaction.

Where PropertySearchGPT receives referral, subscription, advertising, or other commercial compensation from a professional or business, that compensation does not eliminate the privacy obligations described in this Policy.

16. Cookies, Analytics and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for purposes that may include:

  • account authentication;
  • security;
  • maintaining sessions;
  • remembering settings;
  • measuring site performance;
  • understanding use of the Services;
  • analytics; and
  • advertising or marketing where applicable.

Our current use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy and cookie-preference interface.

Where required, non-essential cookies or tracking technologies will be subject to applicable consent choices. You may also control certain cookies through browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may prevent portions of the Services from operating properly.

17. Marketing Communications

We may send marketing emails, SMS messages, push notifications, or other commercial electronic communications where we have the consent or other legal authority required to do so. Marketing consent is separate from acceptance of the PropertySearchGPT EULA or Terms of Use where required.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism contained in the message. For SMS marketing, you may use the opt-out mechanism described in the message, such as replying STOP, where applicable. You may also contact policy@propertysearchgpt.ai to change marketing preferences.

Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary non-promotional communications, such as:

  • account notices;
  • security alerts;
  • requested property alerts;
  • billing information;
  • identity-verification communications;
  • communications concerning your property listing; or
  • responses to your requests.

18. Cross-Border Processing

PropertySearchGPT is based in Ontario, Canada. We use technology and service providers that may process or store personal information in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions. This includes service providers involved in:

  • cloud infrastructure;
  • artificial intelligence;
  • identity verification;
  • payment processing;
  • analytics;
  • communications; and
  • other technology services.

As a result, personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from jurisdictions outside your province or outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities, regulators, national-security authorities, or governmental bodies where permitted or required by applicable law.

We remain accountable for personal information under our control that is transferred to service providers for processing and use contractual or other appropriate measures to provide an appropriate level of protection.

Stripe Identity

Use of Stripe Identity may involve transferring identification and verification information outside Canada, including to the United States. Stripe or its authorized service providers may also interact with governmental authorities or other authorized sources where permitted and necessary for identity verification, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.

19. Consent and Your Choices

We obtain consent in a form appropriate to the circumstances and sensitivity of the information. Consent may be:

  • express;
  • implied where appropriate; or
  • unnecessary where collection, use, or disclosure without consent is permitted or required by law.

For sensitive information such as biometric information, express consent will generally be used where required.

You may withdraw consent to certain uses of personal information by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide a Service where the information is reasonably necessary for that Service. For example:

  • we cannot process a card payment without necessary payment information;
  • we may not be able to publish a seller or landlord listing until required identity verification is completed;
  • disabling location permission may affect location-based features; and
  • requesting deletion of necessary account information may require closure of the account.

Where information is not necessary for the requested service, we will not make consent to unrelated processing a condition of providing the service except where permitted by law.

20. Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Services;
  • complete the purpose for which it was collected;
  • maintain business and transaction records;
  • prevent fraud;
  • maintain security;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements;
  • respond to privacy requests;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, contractual, regulatory, or data-provider obligations; and
  • meet legitimate recordkeeping requirements.

Different categories of information may have different retention periods. When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and technical requirements. Information contained in backups may remain for a limited period until those backups are overwritten or securely deleted.

20.1 Identity-Verification Retention

Stripe may retain identity-verification data both:

  1. on behalf of PropertySearchGPT in connection with our use of Stripe Identity; and
  2. separately where Stripe has an independent legal or business basis to retain information.

Stripe’s applicable retention periods and practices may change and are governed by Stripe’s terms, configurations, consent choices, and privacy policy.

PropertySearchGPT will seek to retain or permit access to raw government-identification and selfie information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed verification, fraud-prevention, legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes. Where appropriate and technically available, we may instruct Stripe to delete information stored on our behalf when it is no longer necessary.

Stripe may independently retain certain information where permitted or required for purposes such as fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or where you have separately consented to Stripe’s use.

21. Safeguards and Security

We use administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorized access;
  • unauthorized use;
  • unauthorized disclosure;
  • loss;
  • theft;
  • alteration;
  • copying; and
  • destruction.

Safeguards may include, as appropriate:

  • encryption;
  • secure network connections;
  • access controls;
  • authentication;
  • monitoring;
  • logging;
  • role-based permissions;
  • secure cloud infrastructure;
  • contractual protections;
  • employee or contractor confidentiality obligations;
  • security reviews; and
  • restricted access to sensitive information.

Access to sensitive identity-verification information should be limited to authorized individuals with a legitimate need for access. No internet transmission, database, or information-security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

22. Privacy and Security Incidents

We maintain procedures intended to identify and respond to suspected privacy and security incidents. Where a breach of security safeguards involving personal information occurs, we will assess the circumstances and take steps required by applicable law.

Where PIPEDA requires it, this may include:

  • reporting a breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada;
  • notifying affected individuals; and
  • maintaining records concerning the breach.

23. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • ask how your information has been used or disclosed;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
  • request deletion of information where we are not legally or otherwise authorized or required to retain it;
  • change marketing preferences; and
  • make a complaint about our privacy practices.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to a privacy request. We will not require more information than reasonably necessary to verify and respond to the request. Certain information may be withheld where permitted or required by law, including information concerning another individual or information protected by legal privilege.

24. Stripe Identity Access and Deletion Requests

If your request concerns information submitted through Stripe Identity, you may contact PropertySearchGPT at: policy@propertysearchgpt.ai

You may request, subject to applicable law:

  • access to identity-verification information under our control;
  • correction of inaccurate information;
  • information regarding our use of verification data;
  • deletion of verification information where appropriate; or
  • assistance in directing an applicable request to Stripe.

Because Stripe may independently control certain information, some requests may need to be handled directly by Stripe. Stripe’s privacy information is available at: https://stripe.com/privacy

PropertySearchGPT will reasonably assist with privacy requests concerning identity information under our control.

25. Account Information and Account Deletion

You may review or update certain account information using account settings where available. You may also request account closure or deletion by contacting us.

Deleting your account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of every record associated with the account. We may retain information where reasonably necessary for:

  • legal compliance;
  • financial or tax records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • security;
  • dispute resolution;
  • regulatory requirements;
  • enforcement of agreements; or
  • other legitimate retention purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Where retained, information will remain subject to appropriate safeguards and will not be used for unrelated purposes merely because the account has been closed.

26. Children and Minors

PropertySearchGPT is intended primarily for adults participating in or researching real-estate transactions. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 years of age to create accounts for seller or landlord listings, identity verification, paid professional services, or other features requiring contractual capacity.

We do not knowingly collect biometric identity-verification information through Stripe Identity from individuals who are not legally capable of providing the required consent.

If you believe that we have collected personal information from a minor inappropriately, please contact policy@propertysearchgpt.ai and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

27. Business Transactions

Personal information may be disclosed or transferred as permitted by law in connection with a proposed or completed:

  • merger;
  • acquisition;
  • financing;
  • corporate restructuring;
  • sale of assets;
  • sale of the business; or
  • similar transaction.

Where required, appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections will apply.

28. Legal Disclosures

We may collect, use, preserve, or disclose personal information where permitted or required by applicable law, including where reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to a court order, warrant, subpoena, or lawful government request;
  • investigate fraud;
  • investigate a breach of an agreement;
  • protect our rights or property;
  • protect the safety of another person;
  • prevent or investigate illegal activity;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
  • comply with regulatory or legal obligations.

We may also collect, use, or disclose personal information without consent in other circumstances expressly permitted by applicable privacy law.

29. Third-Party Websites and Services

PropertySearchGPT may contain links to or integrations with services operated by other organizations. These organizations may have their own privacy policies and practices. Once you interact directly with a third party, that third party may independently collect or process personal information. We encourage you to review applicable privacy policies before providing personal information to an external service.

30. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes to our Services;
  • new technologies;
  • new service providers;
  • legal or regulatory developments;
  • changes to our privacy practices; or
  • changes to our business operations.

The revised Privacy Policy will display a new Last Updated date. Where a material change affects the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information in a manner requiring additional consent, we will seek that consent where required. Where appropriate, we may also notify users of material changes through the Services, by email, or through another reasonable method.

31. Questions, Access Requests and Privacy Complaints

Questions, privacy requests, concerns, or complaints may be directed to our Privacy Officer.
